July to December - Examination in February. Eligibility Applicants should have completed minimum 16 years of age on the date of admission and there is no upper age limit. A pass in SSC/SSLC/HSC/Matriculation or Equivalent, Graduates/Post Graduates/ Diploma Holders/Engineering Graduates. Admission Procedure Students on receiving the application form and prospectus, should go through them carefully and then fill up the application form. The filled-in application form along with the prescribed fee should be sent to the Institute before the last date. The last date is mentioned in the application form. On receiving the application form, the Institute will scrutinise the same and students who fulfil the admission criteria will be admitted. An Admission Intimation Letter, full set of study materials and an Examination Application will be despatched to the registered students. Validity of Registration Registration fee once paid is valid for three years from the date of registration. Students after completing one diploma course, can join another diploma course without remitting registration fee, but within three years from the date of registration. Students are not permitted to join more than one diploma course at a time. Students who do not complete the six months diploma course within three years, their names will be deleted from the rolls and they have to re-register their names with the institute by paying fresh registration fee. MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION The medium of instruction will be in English. The study materials are prepared in simple english. Hindi Medium The following study materials are available in Hindi medium also. Postage fee for foreign students will be Rs. 450/- Course fee includes the cost of study materials, model question papers and monthly journal (6 issues) Course fee of Rs. 850/- is applicable to only one set of study materials supplied either in English or in Hindi medium (as per the student’s choice). In case, students prefer study materials in both the medium, they are required to pay Rs. 300/- additionally for the same (Rs. 850/- + Rs. 300/-) Concession Students above the age of 60 years are eligible for 25% concession on course fee only. Fees once collected will neither be refundable nor adjustable under any circumstance. Medium of Examination Though study materials are printed in English and partly in Hindi, candidates are permitted to write examination either in English or in Hindi medium. Examination fee Candidate has to pay Rs. 300/- (Rs. 75/- per paper) towards examination fee. Candidates who appear subsequently in arrear papers need to pay Rs. 75/- per paper. Examinations for all the 4 papers covered under each diploma will be held twice a year in February and August (Saturdays & Sundays only) Candidate should secure minimum 40% marks to pass in each paper. In extraordinary circumstances, the transfer of paid-examination fees to next examination is permitted, on the request of candidate, well in advance, i.e. before issue of hall tickets. Result The examination result will be sent to the candidates within 2 months from the date of examination. Candidates passing all the 4 papers will be awarded Diploma Certificate within a month from the date of declaration of result. Candidates securing 40% to 59% marks will be awarded second class diploma certificate and 60% and above will be awarded first class diploma certificate. Awards A cash prize of Rs. 500/- and a certificate of merit will be awarded to candidates who secure 75% of marks in each paper and 300 marks in total in one sitting. Exemption Students after passing one diploma course, can avail exemption of paper(s) while joining another diploma course. Students can also avail Rs. 75/- concession on exempted papers (both on course fee and on examination fee).
